PEC Technology Thailand is delighted to announce its participation in the **3rd ASEAN Battery Technology Conference (ABTC 2025)**, taking place **August 27–29, 2025**, at **SAii Laguna Phuket**, Thailand.

As the world increasingly adopts renewable energy, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) have become critical infrastructure. They store energy from sources like solar and wind, ensuring a stable and reliable power supply. However, the high energy density of batteries, particularly lithium-ion, introduces safety risks such as fire and thermal runaway. To mitigate these risks, a comprehensive framework of safety standards has been developed to govern every stage of a battery's life, from manufacturing and transportation to installation and operation. This article provides an overview of the key international and local standards that ensure the safety and reliability of BESS installations.
