Real deployments across Thailand, since 1995

The problem, solution, selection rationale, and measured outcome of each engagement.

The problem

Thailand's primary international gateway needed zero-downtime backup for critical air-traffic, baggage, and boarding systems across three build-out phases spanning 13 years.

The solution

Phased deployment of C&D VRLA strings paired with new UPS, full commissioning, and an annual IEEE 1188 maintenance contract. 2019 modernisation replaced end-of-life strings from the original 2006 installation.

Why PEC was chosen

Airport procurement required 10+ year design life, documented IEEE 1188 maintenance, and a Thai-based team that could respond within 4 hours. PEC's track record and C&D's proven aviation references closed the deal.

Outcome

Airport backup systems have been refreshed across three redesigns (2006, 2014, 2019), with ongoing PM coverage since the first installation.

Siam Commercial Bank — Tier-III Data Center

Partnership since2012
ChemistryVRLA
The problem

Thailand's largest bank runs a Tier-III data center that hosts core banking workloads. The battery plant had to survive multiple replacement cycles over a decade without compromising the DC's Tier-III availability target.

The solution

VRLA strings sized for 6 × 500 kVA UPS modules (redundant), swap-per-string cut-over strategy to keep UPS on-line during replacement, capacity test report after every cycle, and quarterly PM between cycles.

Why PEC was chosen

SCB audit required IEEE 1188 compliance and third-party capacity-test reports. PEC's PM contract included the deliverables the audit needed — no extra sourcing.

Outcome

Multiple replacement cycles delivered without interrupting DC operations. Ongoing partnership with routine PM visits.

Government & Diplomatic2010

Bank of Thailand & U.S. Embassy — Critical Infrastructure

AcceptanceFirst-cycle pass
Year2010
The problem

Two mission-critical facilities with zero downtime tolerance and procurement processes requiring full certification paperwork, IEEE compliance, and formal acceptance testing.

The solution

Dedicated VRLA banks sized for each facility's load profile. Full acceptance test (capacity, thermal imaging, impedance) executed under customer witness; deliverables matched the customer's document templates.

Why PEC was chosen

Diplomatic and regulator procurement demanded a domestic team with an audit-ready paper trail. PEC's ISO-compliant documentation shortened the acceptance cycle.

Outcome

Both facilities accepted the systems on the first test cycle, with full compliance paperwork delivered to procurement.
