PEC installed a 30 kW / 64.8 kWh Li-ion BESS that works with the plant's PV to balance generation against load. The project runs under an MOU between PEC and ITE for Solarco.

Why this project chose PEC
Balancing generation against load in real time is a controls problem before it is a hardware one. PEC's experience tying BESS to PV is what it brought to Sai Yai 1.

The system coordinates storage and PV at the plant as a working net-zero demonstration; it was commissioned in December 2021.
