Lomligor Wind Farm Storage

Lomligor is BCPG's 4 × 2.5 MW wind farm in Nakhon Si Thammarat. Wind output swings minute to minute, so the plant needed storage to firm it up and shave the peaks it pushed onto the grid.

The challenge

What the client needed

Lomligor is BCPG's 4 × 2.5 MW wind farm in Nakhon Si Thammarat. Wind output swings minute to minute, so the plant needed storage to firm it up and shave the peaks it pushed onto the grid.

Our solution

What we delivered

PEC engineered a BESS that pairs 729.6 kWh of Li-ion with 1,152 kWh of advanced lead-acid batteries, set up for generation-side peak shaving.

Why PEC

Why this project chose PEC

Running two battery chemistries as one system takes careful sizing and a control layer that manages them together. That multi-chemistry integration was PEC's part of the build.

Outcome

What happened in production

The storage firms the wind farm's output and shaves its generation-side peaks; it has been in service since December 2019.
